Jane B. Fredman

Since 2001,  Jane has been in private practice, specializing in real estate, land use, and business law. She has developed expertise in representing landowners placing conservation easements on their Colorado properties.  Jane has broad experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts related to commercial and residential real estate, development and business transactions, forming new business entities, representing landowners before local government boards on land use applications, and working on behalf of lenders in foreclosure proceedings.

Jane graduated from the University of California at Davis and received her law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1987 (Order of St. Ives).  After law school, Jane worked at two litigation firms managing commercial litigation cases and defending personal injury and workers compensation claims. She spent five years working for El Paso County, Colorado government, first as an assistant county attorney and then as the human resources manager before moving on to a position as a senior attorney with Colorado Springs Utilities, the local municipal utility company. She provided legal support for the development of electric generation facilities and for the water, wastewater and natural gas departments, and was principal legal advisor to the human resources department.

Jane has received the highest rating (AV) from the Lexis-Nexis® Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Rating for Ethical Standards and Legal Ability. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the El Paso County Bar Association.

Jane donates legal services to and serves on the board of several local and regional non-profit organizations. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, preferably while on a bicycle or a hike in the mountains.

Juanita Kelly

Juanita Kelley has been a paralegal in the conservation easement field since 2003, and has worked with Jane Fredman since 2012.  Juanita worked in the title insurance and real estate industry from 1981 to 2003.  She has extensive background in reviewing and drafting real estate documents and contracts, reviewing appraisals, mapping legal descriptions and preparing for real estate closings. Juanita received her Bachelor of Arts at St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth, Kansas.  After graduation, Juanita spent a year doing volunteer work in Southern Colorado before going to work for a title insurance company. In her free time she enjoys hiking, gardening, wine making and spending time with her family.
